With this handrail, we were commissioned to create a unique handrail which matched the style of the home. With the this being a new home, much of the interior design is contemporary and with the use of traditional techniques, we were able to come up with a design. We forged the top rail with bevelled edges to give the design a tactile aesthetic but also to give the user a pleasant feel. The top rail flows from the wall at the top of the stairs down to the bottom step where the top rail terminates alongside the end post where we punched and riveted the two together.
